She faced many challenges through her dramatic professional career and personal life: fame and desperation, shattered ambitions, addictions and suicide attempts, emotions and bisexuality, a long fight against a dreadful disease...
Passionate about black soul music, nicknamed "Pop Diva", "White Queen of Soul", "White Aretha", "White Negress"..., gifted with unique voice catching the listener's attention at the first song, perfectionist in everything: in the studio and her appearance and performance before the audience, Dusty Springfield is established as one of the best British Pop singers of all time.
"Living Famously: Dusty Springfield" is a BBC documentary (one of 25 hour long documentary series named "Living Famously" profiling the greatest entertainers of the 20th Century) produced in 2002 in association with Track Productions.
The movie includes scenes of Dysty's performances, interviews with Dusty, her show business fellows and a biographer. The emphasis of the movie is to give a biographical and psychological look at Dysty's life and career.
